Therefore, David Chiang told more than once, “Without director Chang Cheh, there would not be my success of today and he is the most important person in my life. He has not only taught me how to act in movies but also how to be a person...”.But Chang Cheh's violence aesthetics has not transmitted to him, for the movies directed by David Chiang's mostly concentrate on reality and byways of subjects.
